The festivities commenced with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass held at the Sto. Nino de Paz, Greenbelt Chapel in Makati on February 5, where participants offered prayers of gratitude for the opportunity to serve and support fellow Filipinos. Bowling Tournament
On February 6, the energy shifted to friendly competition as representatives from various pre-need companies, including Golden Future Life Plans, came together for a Bowling Tournament at SM Bowling, Megamall. Elmer M. Lorica, President and COO of Eternal Plans, Inc, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the significance of Pre-need Consciousness Week and reaffirming the industry’s commitment to serving the Filipino people with excellence and integrity. He underscored the theme “Kaagapay sa Pag-unlad ng Sambayanang Pilipino,” emphasizing the role of pre-need services in fostering progress and prosperity for all.
Atty. Randy’s keynote speech shed light on the Insurance Commission’s efforts to adapt to digital transformation and extend pre-need products to Overseas Filipino Workers. He also addressed the issue of unlicensed entities selling pre-need products, assuring attendees that regulatory measures were underway to safeguard consumers’ interests and uphold industry standards.
The forum also featured a moment of recognition, with the winners of the Pre-need Bowling Tournament being acknowledged for their exemplary performance. The day concluded with closing remarks from Jimmy Dizon, EVP-COO of PhilPlans, who expressed gratitude for the Insurance Commission’s initiatives and urged fellow industry players to uphold the values of integrity and service excellence in their operations.
